I have 2 of the 2005 Mattel Tumblers that came out with sound and was thinking of painting one like the Camo Tumbler. Is this an issue with anyone, meaning, would it devalue it's collectibility? I think the 2 at that scale would look great mounted.

I bought 2 of the '05 Tumblers, much better than the current Batpod launcher version, when they came out thinking I would repaint one like the Camo Tumbler, then started to worry about collectibility. Is this a big deal to anyone else? To quote Comicbook Guy: "Oh no! It's no longer a collectible!"

1966 Batmobile Patent

I saw some guy was selling prints of the U.S. Patent of the 1966 Batmobile on eBay. Patent info is freely available, if you know what to look for, so I downloaded the patent scans right from www.uspto.gov.

I cleaned them up a bit by rotating the illustrations and removing dust. I've made a couple of versions and have uploaded them to my server for you guys. I think they would look cool in our collections when printed on...

So it looks like the rumors of a Batboat w/trailer and a hitch being added to the 66 car are turning out to be true. 1stopdiecast is taking preorders for case G which might have 3 boats if HW doesn't change around their plans as they did first time around (not that I was disappointed to get 3 each of the 66 batmobile and batcycle instead of the original plan). As with the rest of the 1/50 series, I'm guessing the packaging will determine the actual scale of the boat, so it might not...
